If you are looking for the perfect medium for both lube and body massage, you won’t go wrong with silicone lube. This lube prevents friction, irritation and only a very little goes a very long way. Water based lubes are also good, if not as good as silicone, and oil as well as well as glycerin based product have proved to be no good.

The use of lube for sexual activity of all kinds is proven to work well, while the vagina does lubricate itself, this is often not sufficient to prevent tears or irritation to the vaginal tissue. Lube is essential for anal sex and when condoms are used, oil based lubes are not practical.

Some lubes contain the highly corrosive Nonoxynol-9 this is a strong spermicide, its use is dangerous with condoms as it corrodes the latex they are manufactured with and this in turn makes the risk of contracting HIV higher. It also tastes like crap and can make the lips and tongue numb in the case of oral sex.

Silicone Lube Last longer Than Water Based 

Lubes made of silicone last forever, they stay slippery for a long time and is the idea thing to use for vaginal massage. However it pays to bear in mind that this lube does stain fabrics, so a quickie in the car while fully dressed, may mean leaving the lube out of the equation.

You will find that the most high quality lubes are silicone or water based, anything with oil, glycerin, added sugars of flavors can cause irritation and have even been known to promote bladder and yeast infections if the user is prone to these.

Take care if you are using silicone lube on a sex toys made of the same material however, as the two together can damage the sex toy. Simply slip a condom onto the toy and use the lube this way. This is a great tip for fast clean up and your sex toys will last longer as well as remain free of germs or other nasties.
